AI is making some serious waves, and it’s not slowing down! From cool new tools like NotebookLM, your personalized research assistant, to Ari, the AI intern helping with user experience, we’re seeing how AI can really shake things up. Australia’s AI Month and CSIRO’s AI for Climate Symposium are showing off how AI can help with everything from fighting climate change to boosting the economy. But it’s not all sunshine and rainbows—AI's environmental footprint and struggles with summarizing info remind us we still have a long way to go. And with big changes at OpenAI and debates about how creators’ work should be used for training, the conversation around AI is heating up. Governments are stepping in, hoping to cash in on the $100 billion AI boom while keeping things responsible and fun for everyone!
